Don’t let the weather stop you! Be active this winter.

Go 4 Life

It's getting chilly, but don't let falling temperatures keep you from being active! Exercise has benefits all year. These tips on exercising in cold weather can help you stay safe and active when it's cold outside:

  • Watch out for snow and icy sidewalks.
  • Warm up your muscles before heading out to exercise. Try walking or light arm pumping.
  • Wear several layers of loose clothing. The layers will trap warm air between them.
  • Be on the lookout for early signs of hypothermia: cold feet and hands, swollen face, pale skin, shivering, and slurring words.
